Scott Jensen is a Full Time Realtor and Broker at Carolina Realty Advisors. Originally from upstate New York, Scott has been a resident of Charlotte since 2007. Given that Charlotte is such a transient City and new people are moving here all of the time, Scott understands some of the challenges newer people to the Charlotte area face.
Scott's company, Carolina Realty Advisors, offers a variety of real estate sales and services throughout the Greater Charlotte area. Scott has been involved with buying and selling real estate full time since 2004 and has helped Carolina Realty Advisors become one of the TOP 20 Real Estate Companies in the Greater Charlotte area every year since 2006.
Background -
Scott grew up around real estate; it was what was talked about almost every night around the dinner table. His father has been a commercial broker for over 20 years, and his mother is a licensed South Carolina Realtor. At the age of 16, he went into partnership with his parents on a duplex house. They traded it for a REO (Real Esate Owned) IPO (Initial Public Offering) 2 years later for a 150% gain on the house. At the age of 18 he purchased a HUD duplex house, rehabbed it, and sold the home three years later for approximately a 200% gain. Over the years he have since accumluated several properties in the greater Charlotte market.
Perhaps the greatest real estate education Scott has received, however, has come from the S.E.C. (Society of Exchange Counselors), a national organization comprised primarily of commercial Real Estate brokers. He has attended numerous meetings over the past 10 years which have opened his eyes to creative deal structuring, involving multiple clients with multiple properties across the US.
Scott has recently finished the MBA program, with a concentration in Real Estate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Education is crucial, but he also realizes how vital hands-on experience is within the Real Estate profession. While living in Charlotte he have done a great deal of research regarding local foreclosures and different location aspects for his personal investments. Since becoming a licensed North Caolina state Realtor Scott have had the privilage of working with numerous clients buy and sell their homes, from first time home buyers to investors to couples entering retirement, Scott have truely come to love what he does!
